Healthy Eats
Welcome to the healthy eats section of our site. Since we are from the DMV (DC,MD,VA) these are some healthy restaurants that we love in our particular area. Feel free to comment below if there are any restaurants or places to eat that you would like to recommend for us to check out in the future.
Spizzy Smoothies and Teas
Delicious smoothies with a creative twist, with smoothies named after popular cities in the Prince Georges County area of Maryland. This is also our go to spot for vegan waffles.

Rise Bakery
We thought we would never have cookies outside of the house again. Most of the regular cookies would make our stomachs hurt until we came across this spot with various gluten free, non dairy and vegan pastry and bakery options.

Turning Natural
This juice place has now opened several locations throughout the dmv area. What started out as a daughter’s love for her mother, as she made juices to keep her mom healthy and alive has turned into a local sensation has the owner continues to keep her community healthy through homemade juices and smoothies. Our go to favs are the homemade black bean burgers, spinach patties, vegan waffles, juices and smoothies. And sometimes we might splurge on a vegan carrot cake every now and then.

Hip City Veg
This is vegan fast food at its best! Our favorite is the mushroom or impossible burger on a yummy roll with delicious sweet potato fries and a homemade non dairy shake. Who needs McDonald’s?

Clean Juice
Delicious juices surrounded by faith. Check out each cup that features scripture at the bottom. This juice literally revived me. After a day of feeling very sick with a low grade fever, I ordered a juice and within the hour I felt like a new me. We particularly like this place because most juice bars feature acidic items such as lemon, lime and pineapple juice, which can aggravate the digestive system, this cozy spot gave me the option without all of the acid.

Pure Raw Juice
We love to visit this location at the Rotunda in Baltimore at the same time we are visiting Cinnaholic. The açaí bowls and juices are packed with vitamins and nutrients.

Fresh Green
Our go to place for fresh salads with or without salmon. We don’t always get the dressings because health wise the dressings don’t always agree with our system but the plethora of toppings is worth the trip.

Cinnaholic
Move over Cinnabon there's a healthier option for cinnamon rolls in town!! Check out these yummy, vegan Cinnamon buns with out of this world toppings galore, Oreo cookies, apples, caramel, vegan cream cheese and more! You can’t even tell it’s vegan.

Donut Run
This vegan donut shop is filled with a delicious variety of donuts, from apple fritters to blueberry cake donuts. Even non vegans will think they're regular donuts. Be prepared to get there early because once they sell out they close for the day!

Everlasting Life
This local soul food vegetarian spot has been around for years. You will find the original cashew mac and cheese, chikn drumettes and the popular vegan lasagna.

NuVegan Cafe
Another great vegan soul food spot. Prime location near Univ of Md College Park and Howard University.
